We have the audacity to dream and the proven leadership & bench-strength to realize that dream. Established in 2017, we are one of the youngest and fastest growing Independent Power Producers (IPP) in Bangladesh. Today, we own and operate 4 power plants contributing around 400MW to the national grid.
Challenge: The single biggest challenge and risk was transporting 12 MAN 18V48/60TS, with each engine block weighing a whopping 380MT, to our Bogura site, a landlocked region in North Bengal without any riverine access – 200 miles inland north from Dhaka.
The solution: With meticulous planning from transporting the single largest engine block weighing 179MT to synchronizing logistics and delivery of each cylinder head, injection pump and over 10,000 engine components were carefully crafted up in MAN’s Saint-Nazaire factory and sent on the 8,133-kilometer journey to Bogura site.
We paved the way as the first in-country IPP to assemble semi-knocked-down (SKD) engines at site to resolve the challenge of transporting larger engines to landlocked regions.
By 2019 and within 2 years of formation we had successfully commissioned 4 power plants in 3 disparate locations including a fully integrated fuel supply chain operation in Natakhola. Our storage depots in Chittagong & Natakhola, marine-class ship fleet and inland transportation allows us to have greater control of fuel delivery from import to delivery to plants helping ensure uninterrupted Fuel supply. We are honored to have with us a team who work relentlessly to deliver on our promise of excellence in everything we do.
As the largest Independent Power Producer (IPP) in North Bengal with an installed capacity 340MW, we are proud to partner with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in ensuring Bangladesh’s breadbasket, North Bengal, continues humming with quality dependable electricity helping local rural communities capitalize on opportunities of an emerging Bangladesh.
Our projects have direct impact and improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We have seen firsthand the domino effect commissioning a power-plant can have on local communities as commerce trickles down in rural areas.

MAN Energy Solutions to install more than 400 MW power plant capacity in Bangladesh
“MAN Energy Solutions has already gone one step further in Bogra and Chittagong. The three power plants constructed there have now been successfully handed over to the customer, Confidence Power. The power plants use fifteen 18V48/60 units in total. The two plants in Bogra will generate 113 MW each to supply base-load electricity to the city, while the third power plant in Chittagong will feed 56 MW into the grid of the port of Bangladesh’s second-largest city.”
